Ashley Louise Zamiska

Ashley L. Zamiska is founder and chief executive officer of Oppenheimer Ventures LLC.

She is a former vice president at BlackRock, Inc., having served on the global corporate affairs team from 2020 to 2024. She also led policy communications for the company’s philanthropic arm, the BlackRock Foundation.

Ms. Zamiska has worked on two presidential campaigns, including in 2016 as chief of staff to the directors of opinion research and paid media on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, as well as for Joseph R. Biden’s presidential campaign in 2020. She founded and built Madam President, a mobile platform that brought together a national community of more than 20,000 Hillary Clinton supporters and was featured in Wired magazine.

Her book, Democracy and Globalization: Anger, Fear, and Hope, co-authored with Professor Josep Colomer of Georgetown University, was published by Routledge in 2020 and named one of the best books of the year in economics by Martin Wolf of the Financial Times.

She most recently served as an assistant to Jake Sullivan, the 28th U.S. national security advisor and Henry Kissinger professor of statecraft and world order at the Harvard Kennedy School, for his course on geopolitics and artificial intelligence.

Ms. Zamiska received her B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and graduated from Harvard Kennedy School with an M.P.A. in May 2026.
